AFSTZ: Toulouse & Nantes chase Wakaso

Rio Ave’s Ghanaian midfielder Alhassan Wakaso has emerged as a target for French sides Toulouse and Nantes.

The midfielder enforcer has had a fine season in Portugal’s Liga Sagres and could soon be plying his trade in France.

According to Foot Mercato, French side Toulouse are keen on acquiring the services of the 23-year-old this summer.

Nantes have also emerged as a possible destination for Wakaso Africa Football Shop can exclusively reveal, as The Canaries look to bolster their midfield after a 14th place finish in Ligue 1 last season.

It is understood that the Ghanaian with one-year left on his contract with the Portuguese side will welcome a move to France.

Wakaso joined Rio Ave in 2013 from Portimonense and made 44 appearances this season in all competitions.

The younger brother of Mubarak Wakaso has previously been linked with Celta Vigo and Real Betis in Spain.
