The Technical Director of the Super Eagles Shaibu Amodu has told Stephen Keshi not to be a ‘beggar’ and stop fighting for an undeserved contract extension.

Following the failure of the Super Eagles to qualify for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, Amodu has told the Big Boss to look for a job somewhere else if indeed he has a reputation to uphold.

“Stephen Keshi alone will decide if he has a reputation or he does not have a reputation. If he has a reputation he will walk out of the job, if he does not have, he should stay like a beggar,” Amodu told Goal.

“To keep Keshi is bad precedence because when Samson Siasia failed, we came on air to tell the whole country that he had failed [and] that he should go.”

Keshi’s contract with the team expired after the World Cup, and talks over an extension has never really been held, with the Nigeria Football Federation going through a barrage of internal crisis.
