Ivory Coast, Nigeria to face Spain in pre-World Cup games
Two African sides Nigeria and Ivory Coast will battle world champions Spain in a pre-World Cup tournament.
The eight-team tournament dubbed “Road to Brazil” will be staged in the United States under the auspices of the Major League Soccer.
The organisers have set May 27 to June 10 for the games which would be played across North America.
Greece, Honduras and Bosnia and Herzegovina are the other World Cup teams to have signed up, according to the BBC.
Bolivia and El Salvador, who are not going to Brazil, are also involved. MLS said it will announce details of matches and venues at a later date.
