DR Congo giants TP Mazembe have completed the signing of Roger Assale, Sylvain Gbohouo and Christian Kouame.

Assale and Gbohouo were a part of Ivory Coast’s Africa Cup of Nations success campaign this month and the club’s president Moise Katumbi believes the trio can have a big impact.

“They are good players who we think can make a big difference.” Katumbi told BBC Sport.

“Our aim is to give an opportunity to the best talent in Africa as we focus on both the Champions League this year as well as the local league.”

The Sewe Sports trio have all signed five-year deals to boost Mazembe’s African Champions League chances.

Gbohouo, who has been brought in as competition for Robert Kidiaba, said: “It’s great to be at TP Mazembe and I know what it means to play for such a big club,

“It is a pleasure to come here. My ambition is to win the Champions league with Mazembe.

“I am already settling in and I am already liking the city of Lubumbashi.”

The four-time African champions take on South African side Mamelodi Sundowns in the pre-group stage next month.
