Muntari’s father blasts Ghana FA
Alhaji Muniru Sulley has told the Ghana FA officials not to ‘interfere’ with matters concerning his son, Sulley Muntari, and coach Avram Grant.
The Ghana midfielder and compatriot Kevin-Prince Boateng have not featured for the Black Stars since their suspension after the World Cup.
The pair have however been told they would have to tender an apology before returning to the national team by Ghana FA officials, a stance Muntari’s father suspects would ‘interfere’ with Grant’s selection process for the 2015 African Cup of Nations squad.
“The statement by Sannie-Daara (Ghana FA spokesperson) that unless the boys apologize they can’t be taken, means they have started dictating to the coach,” Alhaji Muniru told Joy FM.
“The coach knows what to do, if they had their way round Ghanaian coaches, this is a neutral coach; allow him to do his job.
“Am not saying Muntari should not apologize, am insisting that the Ghana FA must not interfere in the Grant final decision on whether Muntari rejoins the Black Stars or not.”
