Ranocchia: I’ll pick Toure up from Manchester
Inter Milan defender Andrea Ranocchia would “pick him up” himself, at the thought of Yaya Toure joining the club.
Toure is set for crunch talks with Manchester City next week about his future, with two years still remaining on his current contract.
Inter are confident they can complete a move for the former Ivory Coast international this summer for around £12 million.
“Never mind welcoming Toure with open arms, I’ll go myself to Manchester to pick him up,” Ranocchia told Talksport.
“He’s a champion, a star, a winner. Great champions are always well received.”
The Ivorian is understood to be keen on a move to Serie A, to work with former City boss Roberto Mancini, who he had an excellent relationship with, during his time at the Etihad.
Toure, 32, is prepared for one final challenge of his career and a move to Italy would suit the Ivorian.
