Ivory Coast boss Herve Renard has expressed his desire for a job in the English Premier League and is targeting a role in the future.

The Frenchman recently won the Africa Cup of Nations with Ivory Coast after winning the 2012 edition with Zambia.

In an interview with football365, Renard stated that his main objective was a job in the English Premier League.

“The Premier League is my main objective,” Renard revealed to

“There are more resources over there. We can recruit and build a team as desired. In France, it becomes more difficult,” the AFCON winning coach added.

“In England, they might be more open to a profile such as mine. They do not have certain issues like: ‘he has been more of a national coach than a club manager’ for example. For them, you are a coach or you are not, full stop.”

Renard was appointed as manager of Ivory Coast in July 2014 and is the first man to win the AFCON title with two different countries.
