Toure will be a Citizen again
Ivorian midfielder Yaya Toure will be at Manchester City next season, according to agent Dimitri Seluk.
The former Barcelona man’s agent says the Citizens have stated the 32-year-old is “too important” to let go.
It was thought Inter Milan were preparing to bid between £10 and £12 million for the midfielder, who has two years left on his current contract.
However, it seems the £220,000-a-week star will stay in Manchester next season, denying former City boss Roberto Mancini the chance to work with the ex-Ivory Coast international, once again.
Seluk has dismissed speculation that the ordeal was to force a new and improved deal for the player.
Toure was recently handed a £720,000 birthday present by the club, following last year’s controversy over his birthday celebrations.
