Van Gaal adamant on signing Mane
Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal is adamant that the Red Devils complete the signing of Southampton winger Sadio Mane in January.
The Dutchman wants to bring the Senegal international to Old Trafford in order to bolster his attacking options, having failed with a £15 million bid in the summer.
A new bid is believed to be worth over £20 million, but fellow Dutchman, Saints boss Ronald Koeman is determined not to lose his key players this season.
Van Gaal wants to take the pressure off big-money summer signing Anthony Martial, by bringing in the 23-year-old from St Mary’s.
The Saints already rejected a move for Kenya international Victor Wanyama to Spurs in the summer, while Mane has shown no intent on leaving Southampton in the near future.
