Africa’s big guns managed to avoid embarrassment and secure a spot in the third round of World Cup Qualifying.

Algeria battered Tanzania 7-0 in El Bouleïda, with Faouzi Ghoulam’s free-kick being the pick of the goals. Algeria won 9-2 on aggregate.
