AFS TOTW: Bolasie, Traore & Ujah star

It was back to business after the disruption of international football for most African footballers across the major leagues as we bring you the AFS TOTW.

DR Congo’s Yannick Bolasie & Burkina Faso youngster Bertrand Traore made the headlines in England and Holland respectively as Africa Football Shop picks its team of the week.

Vincent Enyeama makes a return to the AFS TOTW after keeping a clean sheet against Evian which sees Lille move up to 8th in the Ligue 1 standings.

Eric Bailly is back amongst the elite of African performers in the top leagues over the weekend after helping Villareal to a 1-1 draw at Getafe. He is joined by Ligue 1 duo of Ludovic Sane and Aymen Abdennour. The Tunisia having kept a clean sheet against Caen in Monaco’s 3-0 win. Sane was an ever present as his Bordeaux side inflicted defeat on title chasers Marseille. Algerian Sofiane Feghouli was in great form and scored as Valencia beat Levante 3-0 at the Mestalla.

AFS TOTW  10th - 13th April 2015-update

Yannick Bolasie made all the headlines in the English Premier League with a 11 minute hat-trick for Crystal Palace against Sunderland and makes the AFS TOTW this week. Joining him in midfield is on-loan Watford man Adlene Guedioura. The Algerian was instrumental and scored in the Hornets 2-0 win at Millwall. Also making his AFS TOTW debut is Ghanaian Thomas Partey of Almeria. His brace against Granada helped secure all three points for Almeria. Burkina Faso youngster Bertrand Troare was in fine form for Vitesse as his brace helped earn maximum points at Excelsior.

Sampdoria’s Samuel Eto’o and Cologne’s Nigerian Anthony Ujah make up the AFS TOTW front two this week. The Cameroonian was pivotal in ensuring Sampdoria gained a point against AC Milan while Ujah was instrumental in his sides dramatic 3-2 victory over Hoffenheim. The Nigerian struck on the 54th minute for Cologne.
