Emmanuel Adebayor’s move to West Ham United is back on after a loan switch from Tottenham was blocked back in January.

Spurs have seemingly given in on loaning the player to their London rivals, in a desperate bid for the player to leave the club.

The Togo international has fell out of favour at White Hart Lane and the club are desperately trying to get his £100,000-a-week wages off the books.

Tottenham had thought they were about to loan him to Aston Villa earlier this summer, only for the move to break down, with Adebayor keen on staying at his London home.

That has allowed West Ham to come in and are understood to only be paying a chunk of his wages according to the Daily Mirror, with the player ready to join the Hammers on loan during the final year of his Spurs contract.

Adebayor is expected to be the first of a number of signings before the window shuts at the end of the month, for the Hammers.
