After making his international debut in late 2011, Jorge Djaniny has been impressive for Cape Verde and was pivotal in their AFCON qualifiers.Adebayo

With a growing squad that are just climbing the elite ladder of African football, Djaniny and his teammates are not going to be pushovers in Equatorial Guinea.

After he struggled in Portugal, Djaniny moved to Santos Laguna in Mexico where he has scored just two goals in fifteen appearances. And with lots of playing time in his boots, he will be important to Cape Verde if he stays fit.

Djaniny is a very skilful player and during the qualifiers, he featured in almost all of the matches when they were required to play a varying style.

In 2013, Cape Verde surprised the whole nation by booking their place in the quarter-final where they finally lost to Ghana.

Cape Verde will face Tunisia in their first match and considering the record scoring form of Djaniny for his team, he could be the player to get Cape Verde the positive result in their opener against Tunisia.

Can he carry the Blue Sharks to another massive performance in Equatorial Guinea?
