Middlesbrough reject Burnley bid for Adomah

Middlesbrough have rejected a bid from EPL side Burnley for Ghanaian winger Albert Adomah AFS sources can reveal.

The Clarets launched a bid believed to be in the region of £3.5m for the pacy wideman following news of interest from Championship sides Aston Villa and Newcastle.

Adomah with only a year left to run on his Riverside contract turned down the offer of reengagement from the Teeside club.

The 28 year old is believed to have turned down the chance to join Aston Villa as he would prefer a move to Burnley and a chance to play in the Premier League.

Burnley are expected to launch another bid in the hope of securing Adomah aid their top-flight campaign.

The Ghana international started his career in the English lower leagues at Harrow Borough and Barnet before moving to Bristol City.
