Golden Eaglets and Les Aigles do the African continent proud as they enter the semis of the FIFA U-17 World Cup.

Nigeria crushed Brazil to stroll into the semi finals with a 3-0 victory, while Mali maintained their impressive defensive record to progress to their first ever FIFA U-17 World Cup semi-final with 1-0 win over Croatia.

Three goals in five first-half minutes undid what was a positive start for Brazil. Victor Osimhen, with his eighth goal in five games, Kingsley Michael and Udochukwu Anumudu hit the quickfire treble for the African side, with the rest of the game being a cruise for the four time champions as they secured their place in the final four.

Mali’s defence continued to impress in their 1-0 victory over Croatia, that takes their impressive run of not conceding to almost five hours. Sekou Koita’s first-half goal was enough to see off the Europeans.

Only negative coming out from the Mali camp is that of the booking for captain Abdoul Dante which means their leader will miss their historic semi-final.

Nigeria will come up against Mexico who booked their place in the semis with a 2-0 win against Ecuador, on the other hand Mali will now face Belgium who beat Costa Rica to book their place in the last four.
